Cedar Bug-Free™ Lice Treatment

Head lice are highly contagious and, if left untreated, can lead to skin irritation and even infection. If not treated early, your clothes, your carpeting, even your car can become infested. Lice can be easily spread from bed linens, towels, clothing, hats, stuffed animals, plush toys, furniture, carpeting, combs, brushes and other hair care items. Lice need high heat to be killed in the wash and/or dryer (similar to bed bugs), and most household washers and dryers don’t get hot enough to kill the lice. Lice can survive the laundry cycle and continue to spread throughout the house. Cedar Bug-Free™ Laundry Additive will kill lice in the wash, at any temperature setting, even cold.

 

How it Works

Cedar Bug-Free™ Lice Remedy contains only Natural Ingredients. There are no poisonous insecticides and it does not leave a chemical residue. When lice are exposed to Cedar Bug-Free™ Lice Treatment, the aroma of the Cedar Oil overwhelms their breathing system and triggers a suicide response—their spiracles (breathing pores) close and cannot re-open. This Lice Treatment formulation also helps dissolves the lice eggs (nits) and nymphs. Use the included comb to remove the nits (eggs) from the hair. Cedar Bug-Free™ Lice Treatment is a powerful lice remedy that is safe for daily use.

 

How to Use It

Shake gently before using.
1. Apply product to dry hair and scalp and massage until top, sides and back of head are thoroughly wet.
2. It is important to apply product to scalp, roots and entire length of hair.
3. Allow product to remain on hair for at least 10 minutes.
4. Comb hair with fine tooth comb (included) to remove dead lice and nits (eggs).
5. May wash hair with shampoo (but it’s not required).
6. For body and crab lice, spray on affected areas and let dry.

 

You may also use this product to spray any infested areas in the home or car, or you may use Cedar Bug-Free™ Household Bug Spray for maximum strength and best results.

 

The lice reproductive cycle lasts 7 to 8 weeks so this treatment may need to be repeated.
Lice reproductive cycle:
Lice lay eggs: 4 to 10 eggs per day
In 1 to 2 weeks eggs hatch into nymphs. Nymphs cannot reproduce (lay eggs)
In another 1 to 2 weeks nymphs become adults
Adults live approximately 4 weeks
Total cycle is 7 to 8 weeks

 

CAUTION: AVOID CONTACT WITH EYES; if contact occurs, flush with water for at least 15 minutes. KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN. In case of ingestion consult a physician.

 

About the Ingredients

Cedar Bug-Free™ Lice Treatment is formulated from all natural ingredients that are Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS). There are no artificial fragrances, colorants or preservatives and no animal by-products or harmful animal testing.
Eastern Red Cedar Oil is extracted from a species of juniper found in North America east of the Great Plains called Juniperus virginiana. The oil is distilled from the trunk and branches, and is considered safe by the US FDA as a food additive.

 

Cedar Bug-Free™ Lice Treatment is classified as a Minimum Risk Pesticide by the US EPA and qualifies for exemption from registration under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act.
